We challenge you to be sad while playing the banjo — it’ll have you pickin’ and grinnin’ in no time!
From bluegrass to Modest Mouse, the banjo has a way of brightening up any song regardless of the genre. We’re happy to provide the most interactive and fun banjo lessons Boise has to offer!
There are several styles of banjo using 4, 5, and 6 strings. We primarily focus on the 5 string as its “drone string” gives it that distinctive banjo-ey sound.
At your banjo lessons we’ll not only help you develop a strong musical foundation, we’ll also teach you a variety of popular songs so you can play with other musicians.
Fun fact: Did you know the 6-string banjo is tuned the same as the guitar?

At Campfire Music Collective, our banjo lessons meet you where you are.
During your 1:1 sessions, we’ll play to your skill level and help you learn what’s most important to you.
We can focus on any tricky spots or blocks you might have, or explore what brings you the most joy. Most of all, we'll apply the techniques from the studio song to whatever songs you want to play!
